Fair Play Code

Our Club supports the Victorian State Government Fair Play Code.

The Fair Play Code outlines the standards and behaviours expected of everyone involved in sport and recreation in Victoria. This includes every player, participant, coach, support person, official, administrator, club member, spectator, parent, volunteer, or member of the public involved in sport and recreation in Victoria. All should demonstrate the principles of integrity, respect, responsibility, fairness, and safety in relation to sport, recreation, training, and club-sanctioned activities.

Download the Fair Play Code for more information, including responsibilities and reporting any concerns or suspected breaches.

Player Code of Conduct

Our Club welcomes cricketers of all genders and skill levels, including junior and senior players, in an inclusive and family-friendly environment. To aid us in achieving this, we have developed the following Player Code of Conduct. Adherence to this code applies to all officials and players. The Committee will address breaches.

  • Respect the spirit of the game of Cricket. Play by the laws and rules. Do not argue and control your temper. Do your utmost to uphold the Club’s good reputation.

  • Be a team player. Respect and cooperate with your Coach, Captain, team mates, opponents and officials. Be available to play as often as possible and communicate that to your captain, team manager or coach.

  • Train with the intent you wish to perform on match day. Help out and support your teammates where you can.

  • Respect that you are selected in a particular team based on your contributions on and off the ground.

  • On match days, arrive at the ground as the coach, captain, or team manager instructs. Respect their strategy and follow their instructions.

  • Work equally hard for yourself and your teammates.
